This study aims to develop a case study-based learning model to improve students' understanding of Indonesia's demographic transition at SMA Regina Pacis Bogor. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, the study involved 69 grade XI IPS students divided into experimental (34 students) and control (35 students) classes. The developed model consists of five stages: case orientation, concept exploration, case analysis, collaborative discussion, and synthesis reflection, integrating four Indonesian regional case studies (Java's demographic bonus, Yogyakarta's population aging, Papua's population growth, and Jakarta's urbanization). Results showed significant improvement in student understanding from 65.4 (pre-test) to 84.2 (post-test) with N-gain 0.78 (high category). Expert validation reached 87.5% and student responses were 88.6% positive. The model proved effective in enhancing conceptual understanding and developing students' critical thinking skills about Indonesia's demographic transition.
